I can't do much, but what I can suggest is about the bands. They can't sell merchendise on the cruse, but they could always hand out fliers that have a 'coupon code' or such that can be used after the cruise for people. That doesn't give a discount, but gets them the 'cruise special version' of their CDs. You can also make a sign up sheet for getting their place in line to later buy whatever they want, a sort of reservation/wait list. Your not selling anything, until after you get off the boat.
I'm more than willing to help with whatever I can.
Do we know what the rules are for the pier itself? I mean, we all have to go on it to get to the ship, maybe set up a table or two with merch before we board? Or after we disembark?
I know, honey, and I GREATLY appreciate it. If you could help me figure out how to add a link to Carnival's website, that would be great! I use PSPad Editor for the site. I guess it's just normal html stuff, but I just don't know!
And I may need some assistance with SOME of the activities on board. If we get Quidditch, I'll need a couple of hands to help referee, or be snitch movers. Unless you wanted to play. And there are some other things, too
*hugs* Meh, tell them to fuck it and enjoy yourself! It's your vacation (and theirs too) so just sit back and relax:) (And pray I will the lottery so I can stow away and join you)
That is an awful lot for one person to handle even in the best of circumstances. Perhaps you could find a friend who is going to act as an assistant of sorts, and yes, get things in writing from the ship.
Other than that, get with the bands and see what you all can do to make this into a low stress (low as possible anyway) fun thing. I've lost a small fortune trying to produce a play myself when the director bailed and left me to do it alone, and it's not a good place. I took on far too much myself, so my advice would be to take on helpers, do things as a group, and keep the fun alive.
Oh honey.... I wish we weren't so far away and could help, or at least COME! I'm so mad that I fucked up my program to the point that I needed to take an extra semester! Stoopid school!
Even more, I wish I had something useful to say. Miss you!

I think people may be expecting too much. It's not like there won't be things to do on board.
