Waves from Downunder...

I am, as the subject header suggests, Australian and I live and work (full-time night duty) in Sydney. I stumbled on Harry Potter fanfiction in 2001, having just devoured the books up to, and including Goblet of Fire. I was at the time looking to find out when the next book in the series was coming out, but discovered a site called Diagon Alley for Slightly Older Folk and basically read anything I could on that site. I joined the EzyBoards for Fiction Alley some time in 2001, but I could never post. I've no idea why, but there you go. I'm member 500 or so on FA and joined when it had its own website. I posted my first story (not SS/HG) to Fiction Alley in March of 2002 under the name Aurinia. It was truly awful and is no longer on the web. My first SS/HG story was posted towards the end of 2002 on FF.Net. It too was blech and is also consigned to my hard drive. Both were unfinished. I still hold an account at FA.

I mainly write SS/HG, but I will read just about anything Snape-centric. I have a soft spot for Snape/Hooch and finding good stories in that pairing is hard.

I stumbled onto SS/HG via Witchfics and yes, the story was Pawn to Queen and that led me to WIKTT. The rest as they say is history and I've mainly written SS/HG ever since. I've got a few gen-fics up at my FF.Net account, but nothing much. Most of my fandom writing life has been consumed with At Any Moment. Now complete in two parts bar the epilogues, it's taken me over five years to write it.

I archive my work at Fiction Alley, Ashwinder (OzRatbag2) and Ashwinder (Oxyopia), OWL and FF.Net

Once I manage to find the time to finish tidying up the chapters of At Any Moment with notsosaintly's generous help, I'll also be posting to TPP as well.

So, I'm either old enough to know better or too old to care. I'd prefer to think it's the latter myself, but there you go. :)
