Making "my" semi-famous fenberry pie Saturday night was definitely a great idea. I didn't realize how well it keeps in the fridge. (Never lasts more than a few minutes when there's more than one person around!) I just add a teaspoon or so of water to a bowl with a slice of pie, microwave it 2 - 2 1/2 minutes, and it's as good as it was fresh out of the oven. except the crust is a little moister. And it's great for any meal, breakfast included. I don't feel so deprived now.
p.s. If anyone wants to come over and have a slice, let me know... it'll be gone by Wednesday evening probably. Also, you guys might be able to talk me into making another pie at the beginning of fall quarter. That is, if I've got my apartment or if someone wants to let me use their kitchen. :-) I am DONE cooking in dorm kitchens!
Grrr. Somebody make my laptop stop be so screwy. I've always maintained that homebrew computers are more stable than company-built computers, and this just proves my point. The clock in the system tray isn't updating properly, and when XP groups several windows together on the Start bar (e.g. you have 4 IE windows open), it sometimes puts a "6" aligned on the far right side of the text on the bar... and sometimes windows pop up that don't have anything but a title bar and maybe a side border, and everything else is clear where there ought to be a window (even when I drag the window around). *glares* I do not have time for this. Blah. I'm calling Dell Tech Support. I don't have the energy to track such weird problems down myself right now. If it weren't finals week I'd figure it out myself, but I'm too busy to take care of that right now and this is making it hard to do anything. If I'm lucky they'll know what's going on right away? (I still say homebrews beat namebrands any day.)
