so I'm thinking of possibly reviving this thing. mostly because, well, I really like the new design I made (go click on my name to check it out). yes, that is a fabulous train yard in berlin, close to my home. It's so beautiful here, you wouldn't believe. Not beautiful in lot's of trees and lakes sort of way (though there is a river that cuts through the city) but beautiful in a grey way. Not a depressing grey, just grey. Subtle. Multi layered. It's the landscape that's grey, not the sky. The sky is often bright blue with the sun screaming at you and the wind cutting through your clothes. But the buildings are grey. Grey in a soviet style around this neighborhood. Grey in an abandoned and reclaimed way (that results in bright colors). Grey in the steel statues of three men fighting on the river. It's not the grey you think. It's not depressing, or dull, or drab. It's beautiful.
