Alright, I'm not sure if anyone can help me out here, but at least making a list will be helpful for me, haha.

So, here's the situation, I'm planning to try out for some of my school's a cappella groups and I need to prepare a one-minute solo of the song of my choice, preferably pop or rock music that those listening to me could recognize and thereby determine how accurate I am. I've come up with some ideas of songs to sing, but nothing has really reached out and grabbed me yet. I really want to get in, so I'm trying to come up with something that would really help me stand out and be remembered.

Here are some of the songs I've come up with so far:

- "Heartbreaker" by Pat Benatar
- "Who Knew" by P!nk
- "Fighter" by Christina Aguilera
- "U + Ur Hand" by P!nk
- "I Will Survive" by Gloria Gaynor
- "Gimmie Gimmie Gimmie" by ABBA
- "Before He Cheats" by Carrie Underwood
- "Can't Make You Love Me" by Bonnie Raitt
- "Stronger" by Britney Spears

I was also thinking maybe something by The Beatles either in their style or a la Across the Universe or perhaps a Disney song, although again, I'm not sure which would be a very good choice.

Suggestions or comments on songs are encouraged wanted SUPER HELPFUL AND WILL WARRANT METAPHORICAL COOKIES (and lots of love).
