Journal Entry for the Week of October 18th through October 25th

Busy and Bored

It's getting closer to election day and most of my energy has been focused on the campaign.  I'm very concerned about the outcome, and fear that Madam Bones entry into the race might be too litte, too late.  She's gaining ground on Lucius, but not as quickly as I'd hoped.  Right now, things could go either way.  Lucius has an appointment with Miss Delacour this afternoon.  Perhaps something helpful will come of that.

On the homefront, we are a house divided.  A house divided over Squishy.  Draco and Luna adore the puppy-creature.  I despise him, and Lupin eyes him very suspiciously.  Don't know why really.  He doesn't eat his shoes.  Maybe it's a werewolf thing.  The only upside of this is that Draco has been very eager to keep me happy in order to keep his little Squishy.  I suppose I can tolerate Squishy for a bit longer.

One thing we do agree on is that we all need a break from the stress of the campaign.  Draco suggested that we host a masquerade party.  I was ambivalent at first, but everyone else was so enthusiastic that I couldn't help but get excited about it myself.  Absolutely everyone will be there. It should be interesting to say the very least.  We haven't discussed it with Remus and Luna just yet, but Draco and I thought that Muggle cinema characters would be an excellent theme for the party.  Not only would it discourage Draco's parents from attending (not that I don't love them, but Luna is scared to death of Lucius, and Remus, well, he and Lucius are an expolsive combination), but it would also give Draco a chance to dress up as Han Solo, his new hero.  We saw him when we watched Muggle movies with Remus yesterday afternoon.  We watched a movie called Star Wars and I have to admit, it was amazing.  Draco loved it too.  I think he'd watch Star Wars 50 times if he knew how to work the VCR (that's the machine that sends the pictures to the picture box).  I'm going to have to use Honeyduke's Best persuasion to convince Lupin to bring home more movies.

That's pretty much my week; working, shagging, and goofing off with Draco and our room mates.  All in all, my life is pretty good. Except for the puppy-creature.
