So on my road trip, I was violently ill thanks to a salad at some seemingly nice restaurant in downtown Denver. This occurred right in the beginning of my Molly Brown's House tour, so I missed most of that to go feel awful for a few hours.

So I totes made a doctor's appt. and went and he basically said that it's really common when you get older to develop sensitivities to certain foods, and broccoli is a really common one to develop a sensitivity to, so I'll just have to not eat it. Same with almonds. (From previous experience, I knew to avoid these, and now I see I'll just have to stick with that plan)

As for the lettuce/salad issue, apparently most places spray their lettuce with a preservative that people can react badly to, so that's most likely what I'm running into there, and he actually has the same problem. He says to avoid Olive Garden like the plague, and that it will have to be a case by case basis, but chances are it's going to be anything prepackaged and restaurants are risky. I should stick to organic lettuce and wash it thoroughly before eating.

Alas, salads, I will miss you. :C

Maybe I should just start growing my own lettuce, and then I won't have to worry about stupid preservatives.

Also, once again I am convinced that organic is the best thing in the world. Thank you, Universe, for confirming my long-held beliefs yet again in the most unpleasant way you can manage. :/

i love to eat, gmo gtfo, evil thy name is monsanto, me me me me
