I am partial to anything involving praline myself, but a scoop of vanilla on the side is a perfect complement. I prefer other things vanilla, too, I'm too old and tired for anything complicated.

I love this - love Casey going off on a rant (this is the man who gave us the whole cake speech, after all - and, mmm, vanilla ice cream and choklit cake, yum!); and Dan, so patiently sitting and letting it wash all over him. For he is Dan.

Rocky Road, though. F'reals?

You know I'm going to spend the day working out what I think would be Dan's flavour, don't you?

Yeah, yeah, I think Dan's more of a Rum Raisin or Brownie Batter man myself, but I went for the blatantly obvious metaphor. Plus, we do know he like mallomars, and Rocky Road is kinda the ice cream equivalent, right? Okay, I hereby give every reader the license to insert whatever flavor they so choose into the story.

I've never actually had a mallomar. Crap, guess what I'm going to spend my day looking for?
