Holy macrol!!!!!! (I dont think thats the correct spelling but I dont feel like using correct grammer in this entry!) 60 hours in a dungeon in just one week REALLY makes people crazy.....or tired. Yeah, for some reason the wardobe Head on Phantom has us on a 60 hour week because the costumes are 17 year old and the peoples dont know how to be gentle with their costumes.....oye vey! man, saturdays and sundays are a KILLER!!! Tues - fri are not so bad, we got a work call for maintenance and then an evening performance. Simple and sweet....but WEEKENDS! We are at work at 830 for a 4 hour work call then we have half horu for lunch and then we kick out a 3 hour performance, break for dinner for an hour, continuity call for an hour, and then we kick out ANOTHER 3 hour show! and thats just saturday....repeat for sunday...! I tell ya peeps! by monday, im POOPED! And now Ive got the muic stuck in my head. Andrew Lloyd webber was sneaky with that melody crap. Now, I love the show, its my favorite, but when you find yourself doin entire dialogues in the shower on your ONLY day off.....yeah its enough to make you crazy.....and we dont even have windows in the building....it goes from day to night and i never see it - lol.
Dont get me wrong, the money's great. I'm just sayin..... if people think its crazy being on stage, the madness backstage is a whole other tumble in the park. that's right, i said tumble...cuz its definitely NOT a walk in the park!Our supervisors are great thought! I'm in female ensemble and our supervisor is my twin..who's name is ALSO Sarah! lol we love it! and she used to be a drum major!!! In MArching band!!!!!!!! Its amazing!!!! anywho, my stitching supervisor, Mark, is awesome as well. He gives us chocolate medicine every half hour - lol. mmmmm peanut m&ms! I do the beading repairs for the work call! Our most expensive dress is the "fifi" dress and its a whopping (drum roll) $30,000! yeah, its do to the intricate beading on hte bodice....I feel like I'm holding gold when I have to fix it....*sighs* so cool!
