Back when I had a friend help me put together a computer, I took the video card from my previous computer (which had been another friend's previously) because it, despite being years old at that point, was once a pretty top of the line video card.  As it was also very old, it finally gave up the ghost last week and became an ex-video card ( Read more... )

I'm so glad I decided to do this.  I'm learning more about computer hardware, which is neat, and I've always liked messing with stuff.  My mom and I used to take apart stuff that broke to see how it worked, and I once took a basic car repair workshop thingy with my dad.  I'm the sort of person who gets all "ooh shiny" about old fashioned hardware ( Read more... )
