Cat foods with no chicken?

Anyone?

It looks like poor Smokey, the allergy kitten that I'll adopt when I have a two bedroom (or possibly when hell freezes over, because at this rate, that's going to happen first), is probably allergic to chicken.  I make this guess because that's about the only thing that all of the cat foods she's gotten puffed up and itchy from eating have chicken in them.  And not much else in common.  (Okay, the Hills foods have a good deal more in common, but she appears to be allergic to Newman's Own, too, which is what I feed Max.  And has almost nothing else in common with the Hills foods - chicken and vitamins are about all they share.  Unless her current puffing up could be related to her getting vaccinated.  Argh.)

Chicken is a really damn common cat food ingredient.  I'd like to find a dry cat food that absolutely, positively, for certain does not have chicken in it to test this theory.

Of course, that still leaves me with the problem of having to either hope I can find a food they can both eat or going from free feeding, which is what Max is used to, to feeding times.  Which is a problem for two reasons: one, I'm a little worried Max will have issues with it, and two, I work one night.  There's no way to have regular feeding times because of that.  Well, and I game one night, too.

What the hell am I going to do when I can adopt Smokey?  Are there allergy shots for cats?  I know there are allergy tests for cats, which I'll have to do eventually, I think.

*sigh*

Of course, there is the possibility that Smokey is actually allergic to something else, despite an itchy and sometimes puffy face being a common symptom of food allergies.  Gah.  I'm halfway tempted to take her off their hands just so I can try to figure this out.  I'm in a better financial position than they are and I don't want to get into organic food and stuff debates with my ex-roommate's husband.  And this is becoming more and more likely a possibility.
