GUESS WHO'S BACK!!



Yes! It's us! We're back!! After a very succesful first round, full of fan-made intergroup deliciousness, we decided to come back for more! After all, it's been barely three months into 2015 and we already got so. Many. SM goodies. To entertain ourselves with.

Ladies, gentlemen, and those who have yet to decide, may I welcome to the second round of the amazing, the beloved, the absolutely spectacular SMTOWN crossover/intergroup ficathon! Or, for shorters:

Well, there might be many of you who didn't make it to the first round, and right now might be asking yourselves: what on this beautiful vast Earth is a ficathon?!

I'll refer y'all to the Fanlore.org explanation, but tl;dr - a fic-a-thon is much like a fic meme, that place where people anonymously ask for fic and get (or not) their prompts anonymously filled, only for, in the end, the people involved come off anon and embrace each other in a tearful reunion. The only difference is that, in a ficathon, you don't anonymously reply to the prompt with your longfic divided in 12 comments (each coming with a different captcha); instead, you email the final draft to us (the mods!) and we prettily post it up for you. Then, we have reveals, and we party on. Beautiful, isn't it?

Basically, it goes like this:

▷ Prompting Season: there will be a Prompting Post, and, there, you anonymously comment with a prompt. You giggle to yourself as other anons aplaud you without knowing who you are (we suppose).

▷ Someone sets their eye in your prompt, and, when the Claiming Season starts, they outrun other writers to (secretly) grab your idea.

▷ Meanwhile, you can claim a cool prompt too, or you can just sit and watch while enjoy a refreshing cup of tea.

▷ Writing Season starts, and whoever claimed prompts during Claiming Season starts to work furiously on their future masterpieces, all while concealing their identities. Why? Because we love secrets!

▷ Check-in! To ensure you guys are still with us, and to stimulate a healthy, continuous writing method, we (the mods) will as you to send us an unfinished draft/outline/really anything y'all have of your fics. This is not mandatory, but we assure you it's very helpful!

▷ Writing Season ends, and the writers email the mods their finished opus. Or not-so-finished opus. It's all on you.

▷ Posting Season starts, and we, the loving mods, post all of your fics to this comm, all formated in fancy, shiny HTML.

▷ Everybody reads fic! And comments! And tries to guess who wrote who, and who prompted who! Fun fun fun!

▷ The Secrecy Is Over: Reveals Time ensues, and we all congratulate each other on a job well done.
