http://smosh4ever.livejournal.com/4944.html I walked into third period on Monday feeling as though I was walking on clouds. I'm in love with the most perfect human being in the world. And he actually loves me back! Completely ignoring everyone else in the classroom, I went up to Anthony and kissed him gently on the lips.
He smiled and kissed me back, wrapping his arms around me. "Hey."
I looked up at him and grinned. "Hey."
He chuckled. "So I saw something interesting this morning."
"And what would that be?"
He pulled a flyer from his pocket and gave it to me. I unfolded it and read the writing.
School Dance Today!

I smiled and hugged him. "Do you wanna go?"
"Of course."
We kissed again and I went back to my seat. I can't wait.
The rest of the day dragged by slowly. By the time the final bell rang, I practically bolted out of my seat to meet Anthony. He was waiting at the usual place, smiling when he saw me. I kissed him quickly and took his hand, dragging him to my house eagerly. He laughed as I pulled him along.
"Are you excited or something?.."
"Well duh. I get to spend the night dancing with you."
When we got to my house, my mom looked up from her book and smiled warmly at us. "Hey you two."
"Momthere'sadancetonightcanIgowithAnthony?!" I blurted it out, almost jumping up and down with excitement.
"Sure," she laughed. "I think I still have an old tux of your father's. Let me go check."
Anthony wrapped his arms around me. I grinned up at him. "This is gonna be awesome." He chuckled and kissed my forehead just as my mom came back, holding up a tux triumphantly.
"Found it! Anthony do you have one or should I run down to the tux shop?"
He shook his head. "It's fine, Mrs. Hecox. I can go get one at my house."
She smiled. "Alright then."
He leaned down and kissed me lightly on the lips. "I'll go get ready and meet you here at 6."
I nodded and watched him leave, already sad to see him go.
"Ian, he'll be back soon. Come on, why don't you get ready too?"
I grinned sheepishly at my mom. "Sorry.."
She laughed. "Ah, young teens in love. So cute."
"Oh be quiet." I stuck my tongue out at her and went to get dressed.
A couple of hours later, I found myself perched on the couch, glancing at the clock every five seconds. "Shouldn't he be here?"
My mom rolled her eyes. "Ian, calm down. Don't be so impatient. Jeez, you must really love him."
I nodded seriously. "I do. He's everything to me."
She smiled. "He's a lucky boy."
I'm the lucky one...
Finally I heard a knock on the door. I jumped up from the couch and opened the door to find a dark-haired man standing there, smiling his perfect smile at me. I felt my heart jump at how beautiful he was.
"Oh Anthony.. You look amazing."
He chuckled. "I was about to say the same thing about you."
I hugged him, calling back at my mom, "Bye we're gonna go now!" I heard her yell back "Have fun, sweetie!" as I closed the door. I turned to Anthony and grinned at him, taking his hand.
"Shall we?"
"Let's."
When we walked into the dance, it was amazing. I was so incredibly lucky to be holding Anthony's hand, being able to call him my..date. People still stared at us. But I ignored them. This was just too perfect to let a few weird looks bother me. He led me to the dance floor as a slow song came on. He put his hands on my waist and I wrapped my arms around his neck, looking up at his gorgeous face.
"I love you so much, Anthony."
He grinned and leaned down to kiss me softly. "I love you too, Ian."
I sighed and put my head on his shoulder as we slowly twirled around to the music. It seemed like the song ended all too soon, to be replaced with a faster one. I pouted a little; I wanted to stay in his arms a little while longer.
He looked down at me, smiling. "Do you wanna go sit down or something?"
"That sounds perfect."
We found a corner where one of the tables was set up and sat together. I snuggled against him, sighing with happiness.
"Did I ever tell you how amazing you are?"
He pulled me closer, chuckling. "Once or twice."
I leaned over and pressed my lips to his, soft and gentle. I was in heaven, sitting there in Anthony in our private corner, music surrounding us, kissing him... Nothing could ruin this moment.
"Anthony."
Our lips parted and we turned around. Fuck it's Jeff again.
His fists were clenched at his sides and he stared at us, his jaw tensed.
Anthony groaned. "What do you want now?"
Jeff stared at me, then Anthony. "Are you ever gonna tell him?"
I looked at Anthony. "Tell me what?"
He shook his head and stood up to face Jeff. "Get out of here."
He glared at him. "You don't even fucking care, do you?"
What the hell?..
Anthony sighed. "Don't do this. Not now. Not here."
I stood up and faced him. "What is he talking about, Anthony?"
Jeff glared at him. "Well? Come on! Tell him what you did. Tell him how you just expect me to forget about everything! Tell him, Anthony!!!"
I was confused. "Anthony?.."
He didn't answer me. "Jeff, I'm warning you. Get the fuck out of here."
Jeff crossed his arms. "Fine. If you won't tell him, I will." He looked at me. "Did you know your precious Anthony was already seeing someone when he decided he liked you?"
I stared at Anthony, my eyes widening. "What?.."
Jeff continued. "Yeah. That's right. Me."
I almost choked. "WHAT?!" That day I saw him under the tree, holding some guy's hand.. I completely forgot about that... I was so focused on Anthony; I never even saw the other guy's face...
"Is this true?.."
He sighed, looking down at the floor. "Yes.."
"What the hell?!"
He looked up at me, tears in his eyes. "Please.. Let me explain.."
"No, allow me." Jeff cut in, still glaring at Anthony. "We met the weekend before his first day of school. He moved in down the street from me. The second I saw him, I wanted him to be mine. He must have felt the same way because things moved pretty fast after that."
I listened, my stomach churning. I'm gonna throw up.. How can this be happening...
He continued, not even paying attention to me anymore but staring at the floor, into the past. "That day when you saw us, I was so scared, thinking you saw me. I couldn't let you find out I was gay. I thought you wouldn't accept me, that you would make fun of me. But you never said anything, so I figured you didn't notice. But then.. He started talking to you more. I told him it was a bad idea. I was nervous that you would find out. But he didn't listen. He started spending more and more time with you, forgetting all about me.."
I stared at Anthony, feeling disgusted. He was sitting back down, his head in his hands.I turned my attention back to Jeff as he went on.
"I acted so awkward around you two because I was furious with him. He barely even spoke to me anymore. The only thing he could find to talk about was you. He went on and on about how 'amazing' you were. Like I wouldn't fucking understand that he liked you. I don't think he even cared if I did or not. He obviously felt guilty about it though, because he always left when I showed up to your little parties. I kept trying to get you to stop hanging out with him, telling you how 'weird' he was.. But it didn't work.. Then... Then I saw you... holding his hand that day.. I was heartbroken."
He yelled at Anthony, tears streaming down his cheeks. "You said you wanted me!! How could you do this to me, Anthony?! How?! You fucking TORE MY HEART OUT!!!"
Anthony raised his head to look at him, tears rolling down his own face. "I'm sorry, Jeff.. I'm so sorry.. I never meant to hurt you.."
I stared at both of them, horrified. Jeff was sobbing, desperately trying to wipe the tears away on his shirt. I watched him, feeling sorry for how much pain Anthony caused him. But I also felt angry at the same time..
"Jeff... You made fun of us.. You said horrible, awful things.. You threatened us.. You even punched Anthony!!"
He got really close to my face, his watery eyes hollow and broken. "What would you do if you watched the person you love run off with someone else?"
He walked away, disappearing into the crowd of oblivious dancers. I turned back to Anthony. He was staring up at me, his big brown eyes pleading. "Ian.. I'm sorry.."
I shook my head, hot, salty tears running down my cheeks, and backed away. "How could you?"
I turned around and ran out of the gym into the cool night air, leaving Anthony and the dancers and the music behind.
I didn't look back.
Well there's chapter seven for you. I'm sorry it's angsty. The next chapter probably will be too. I hope you liked this!
