Final thoughts on QSII

And so ends QSII. It was... balanced shall I say? Ok, let me explain.

The acting: I couldn't fault Sho or Yoko. Their crying scene in the last episode, my LORD. In terms of sheer acting chops from these 2 men, it's up their with Maou and Ohno for me. The other smaller characters at times were annoying, some roles more then others (What was the guy in the Hawaiian shirt so pissed off constantly about?! SHUT UP AND SPEAK PROPERLY. If you STOPPED speaking like a gangster, cursing and being abrasive, MAYBE people would take you more seriously? I digress), but in the end, the last few scenes of the showdown between Yoko and Sho, they actually served their purpose, to support the actors.

The storyline: It let me down a bit to be honest. Same with Maou. It had SUCH potential, the acting tools were there, but the storyline at times was a bit... farfetched? The way they decided to write the final plot twist, that was a bit... TOO much of a leap of faith for me. I wish they had found some other way. What other way, I don't know, but something other then that.

Overall, this is probably one of the dramas that will stay with me like Maou, and for the same reasons; the sheer amount of acting shown by Sho and Yoko. They both blew me away, and I'm so happy I watched this. ALMOST makes up for the time I spent on Mikeneko.

ANYWAY! I did enjoy this drama very much, flaws and all. :D

Now, to start my work, as well as find a new drama to watch after this! Also, I'm slightly distraught over the fact that J has gone back to black hair. I LOVED his lighter hair colour. D:

XOXO
