Italy, aliens, rum and Earth Wind & Fire all in one post:
I know... I know... I haven't posted in a number of days. My boss AND my "assistant" are in Italy, leaving ME to run the company all by myself. As much as I appreciate the responsibility and the fact that my boss has complete faith that I can protect the company from alien invaders and any other insurance related incidents for ten days, this week has been quite stressful.
But today is hump day. Last night I baked. Which is great therapy for me (and my tummy). I made apple, walnut bread. Actually, I altered the recipe and made whole wheat, apple, walnut, dark rum bread. And it is DAMN tasty if I do say so myself. Also... this morning on the way to work, Sunny 99.1 played Earth Wind and Fire's, September; and I rocked it with my jazz hands all the way into my parking spot at work. Picture -- incredibly white, Jewish, lesbian with coffee in hand, bee-bopping to the "bah-de-ah!s" in her car WITHOUT tinted windows... I'm sure many (if not all) of my passers had a good point-and-laugh at my expense.
I don't care. I'm in a good mood, and I'm ready to take on the rest of the week. Bring it on, bitches...
