My Life as a Factory:
There is so much going on that I don't know where to begin. Since getting rid of my snow globe collection, I have completely reorganized that room. And OH DEAR BABY KITTENS ON A CRACKER, IT LOOKS SO GOOD. I'm not even finished yet, and I am already in love with that space. I actually remembered to take "before" pictures this time. So when it's all finished, I'll post photos.
For people who keep asking: The pie in a jar recipe kicked some serious baking ass. I was concerned with how it would all bake out, but the final product was OH so tasty and super cute to boot! Unfortunately for you, I forgot to photograph the baking process. However, I plan to make another batch very soon. I'll document the process and share it with you all, because that's how much I love you.
In other "making stuff" news: I made jewelry! And I'm majorly in love with it! Look!

Another project of which I've recently become involved, is the "Draw 365" project. Which is a drawing a day for a whole year... or longer. I always think that I'm never sketching enough. So this is a great way to get me drawing something at least once a day. My pencil is supremely rusty and I need to retrain my hand/eye coordination. I used to be really, really good at looking at something and drawing it accurately. But now? Oy... mama needs to exercise those carpals. The project was started by Twitterer, gilbertruiz. And you can see my drawings daily on either my Flickr or track my work through my Tweets (click on the #Draw365 tag to see the works of everyone involved).
Also? I have become clinically obsessed with yarn. I've been a knitting, hand weaving, stitching machine. Discovering this deep love for textiles is also causing me to expand my mixed media artwork on canvas, which is pretty neat actually. I have so many pieces in the works, it's ridiculous. Once I finish a series I started about a month ago, I'll post photos.
And on that note? It's back to the saw mills for me. Sorry my posting has been so sporadic and err... random. I promise to do something super exciting this weekend so that I can entertain you all on Monday.
