Evangelion is absolutely fucking brilliant. Honestly. I usually respect other peoples' opinions if they don't like the same things as I. But the *only* way I can understand someone not liking Eva is:
1. They didn't get it.
2. They're fucking retards.
Seriously. I hate to be an elitist bastard, but Eva is one of the most brilliant stories ever put to page, film, whatever. And anyone who DOESN'T want to see it just because it's long (26 25 min. episodes + an hour and a half long ending movie is long, I admit) or because it's an anime AND OMG ANIME IZ FOR NERDZ should kill themselves. Everyone should watch Evangelion. It's seriously one of the most amazing things I've ever seen.
Illegally download the episodes, burn the DVDs off me, do whatever you can. Just see Evangelion. Period.
Edit: I also think I like the original 25th and 26th episodes more than End of Evangelion. I think both compliment each other, and both run concurrently, but I believe the true message of Evangelion, the heart of the story, lies in the original 25th and 26th episodes.
