I was seeing an article about Quake Live.. an upcoming updated version of Quake 3 Arena which is essentially that game with a "fresh coat of paint" and also runs in your browser. It's supposed to be free.. ad supported. There's a big question mark as to whether it will support mods like maps and junk. I hope they at least support custom player ( Read more... )

Having just gotten back from being out at the movies with my family I just noticed some nice announcements coming out of id software today. First thing is "Rage" a new game they are making that is like Road Warrior (Mad Max) with driving parts and shooting parts. I just saw G4TVs take on this weeks game announcements for the Mac and it wasn't what I thought it was going to be. They simply mentioned that EA is bringing their upcoming games simultaneous for the PC\Mac and that id demoed their new tech on the Mac.
