I went to a 1-day seminar the ABA was holding in Chicago on how to do neat things with the website they provide to ABA bookstores (like Pandemonium). So I had to get up at 4:45am, get driven to the airport by my wife (who really really loves me), fly to Chicago, get to the seminar (via shuttle), learn stuff at seminar all , get back to the airport in time to make my flight back to Boston.
I was picked up by my wife (who really really loves me) and taken home. I went to bed and went out like a light.
This was a first for me. I had some serious doubts as to whether the trip would be Worth It.
Would I do that again?. Probably.
a) I learned a lot at the seminar.
b) Chicago is only 2.25 hours away by plane, and the seminar was in a hotel right next to the airport.
c) The time zone shift really works in my favor. I lose an hour going west. If I was coming in from the west, I'd have to take a hotel room, which would likely tip the experience into the Not Worth It zone.
d) My wife is amazing!
