Crown Tourney
I really enjoyed NS's Spring Crown Tourney this weekend. It was not only a well run event, but the fighting was also wonderful to watch and enjoy as well. Most of the bouts seemed to be fairly well matched, & the finals were very exciting indeed since Sirs Riato & Hrodir are both showmen on the field. I would have been happy to see either of these good gentles win, and know I will enjoy the reign of TRMs Riato II & AEsa II. AEsa was very cute after the final bout when she was wanting to run onto the field to hug and celebrate with Riato while the knights were de-armoring him. I swear she'd have bounced over the field ropes in one leap without a problem.
It was also a good time to talk to friends I'd seen or not seen in a while. I love the SCA for the connections & friends I've made over the years. I can be walking at an event and go as few as 10 feet in as many minutes and not be upset over the delay, since I am chatting with good folks.
