Playing Ketchup. Er, I mean...

1. Important things first: Amazon Gold Box is discounting tv box sets this week. I failed to notify everyone about Bones and The OC on sale, but today's offerings are CBS shows (NCIS S.1-6 for $89.99, Criminal Minds S.1-3 for $45.99 (hey! here is your chance to catch up!), Medium S.1-5 for $63.99, Numb3rs S.1-5 for $64.99), tomorrow's are FX (It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia S.1-4, The Shield, The Complete Series), Thursdays are NBC (30 Rock S.1-3, The Office S.1-5), Friday is ABC (Desperate Housewives S.1-5, Grey's Anatomy S.1-5, Scrubs S.1-8), Saturday is 60s/70s (Gilligans Island, Get Smart, The Waltons, all complete series) and Sunday is 80s/90s (Full House, Witchblade, and the Adventures of Brisco County, Jr., all complete series, and wow, what kind of lineup is that? Full House and Witchblade. Okay.)

2. I continue to wade through the bloodiness and depravity of Oz. And I saw my first episode of Glee last night. Which, okay.

98% of my reaction is that it's very cute and a lot of fun and Sue Sylvester is, as all sectors report, completely hilarious, and I love the singing and dancing. However. Someone please tell me that there is something wrong with Emma that was only tangentially referred to in this episode and the attractive teacher dude with the curly hair did not give her a card for a shrink because she decided not to have sex with him. I mean, A+ for the message that he views her not sleeping with him as taking control of her body. Fail for sending her to a shrink for it. (I am assuming there are other issues at play here, since normal people don't usually go running out of a guy's house without their favorite shoes to avoid having sex with him, but because I skipped right up to episode 12, I don't know what those issues are.) Thanks, LJ!

3. Today is the Truck Stop Vendors Association reception. Does anyone know what that means? It means PIE. In ten minutes.

4. I have seen The Losers. I have loved The Losers. I do not actually have the first trade, which utterly surprised me. I have the first trade of Small Gods. No, not the Terry Pratchett one. This one apparently wasn't any good. Anyway. I might talk more about it later. Is there fic?

5. Does anyone know of any active Criminal Minds comms on DW? Someone mentioned that even when fans moved to DW, fandom still sort of stayed on LJ and most of the comms, etc. are still here. I'd be willing to make a CM space - there seem to be a couple already but none of them are really active. Or alive. Thoughts? True confession - I'm still only using DW for posting long fic, but LJ went down the other week and I'd like to be more active over there. Which I guess involves updating my circle once in a while. *goes to fix that*
