Lazy Day
I really am going to have to go find a part-time job someday instead of hanging out and playing with my cat on my days off. (We did battle today and I won, so he's off sulking on one of my skirts.) You know what I really love on SGA? Ronon and Weir. Together. Not romantically (not on th show anyway) but those moments where they look at each other and he's taciturn and words are her trade and they're just both like, "OMG, this person is just totally alien to me in ways that have nothing to do with being from another galaxy." I would love if they did more of that.
I like Weir a lot in the, "as they intended her" rather than "as they show her" which I think is just a failing of the cadre of male sci-fi geek writers. Teyla, too, to a point. There are some times when I just adore her, and sometimes when I'm all, "Please make her stop talking about reaching out with her brain to talk to Wraith. Please."
Weirdly? I have liked Sam better in the last two seasons than in previous ones. I think it's the lack of Jack. And I love Jack. And there are times and places in which I even like the Sam/Jack. But I think she's a stronger character without him and I'm definitely interested in seeing how she interacts with the Atlantis crew. I always loved her friendship with Teal'c so maybe she'll be fun with Ronon, too. :D
