Friday Night Party
I'm mainlining SG-1 again. Also, "1969" was on earlier this week which always inspires me to write Hammond fic.
I just spent a while poking around queenofthorns Secret Snap Cup Meme. The official rules are on the page but the gist is that people leave their LJ names and other people leave anonymous love for them. It totally wins. Except I had to stop because I kept screwing up the code in the "I'm not a spiderbot" boxes. Clearly I need to go dig out my reading glasses. You should all go see who you know on there.
I have a question about these things, though. Since the love is all anonymous, do you reply? I mean it seems like you should because it's polite and if someone says something nice about you, you should say thank you, but because it's anonymous, they're probably not going to read it. I guess they could use the tracking function to follow the thread or whatever, but I much prefer the idea of love given freely with the expectation of nothing back. Or maybe it's just because I get horribly, horribly embarrassed when people say nice things about me and I just want to say, "BUT I'M REALLY NOT THAT COOL!"
