Anniversary!
I don't have much in the way of anniversaries and I'm usually at Dexcon for my birthday (and thusly only four people ever even know about it) so I'm being a little self-indulgent and doing this.
I created this journal five years ago today. I was coming up on a year of writing Nightwing fanfic, I was fairly deep in the planning of the Potatoverse, and, kiarda emailed my planning list encouraging us all to get livejournals. Since I do everything my sister tells me, I made this and then didn't know what to do with it. The first year has only 14 entries and I come off very young in them all, to my eyes, at least. I used it on and off for a couple years and then went to Dexcon and started using it all the time.
I was trying to decide what to do to celebrate today and I had trouble coming up with an idea. I was going to redo the layout, but I like this layout and I could fuss with the colors or font some more, but I'm not sure that counts as entirely "fun." I thought about posting some fic and then this morning I decided that what part six really needed was another couple thousand words, so that's off the table. I thought about making the Official Livejournal is a Winnebago at Woodstock post, but if I do that it'll be in another entry.
So here's what I'm doing. I would like for everyone reading to post a memory of me. Something we did together or a conversation we had or how you first remember hearing of me or a fic I wrote or a comment I made in your journal. Even if you don't really "know" me, I'd still like to hear from you. Five years isn't necessarily a long time in either real life or fannish interaction, but it's a bit of a distance for me and I'd appreciate anything anyone would like to share. Thanks, guys.
(Edit: Maybe I should celebrate my LJ anniversary by changing my password so the 'posted' page stops yelling at me for my password being easy to guess. Which it isn't.)
