First, in this past week, it was the attack in Turkey. I refused to read it. Maybe it will then be like it never happened. Then David Bowie dies. And then the attack in Jakarta happens. I can't think of any other celebrity leaving such a mark as he has. I heard the news Monday morning and yet I am still feeling numb about it. How very sad! I loved each and every movie. Polar vortex has left us and we are back to our usual winter saga. A balmy muggy 35F with lots of rain. Of course, yesterday there was a lot of excitement about 2-4 inches but it was also 50F the last two days so you don't need a degree to predict that it would be just rain. Sure enough. This week seems to have followed the theme on mothers. We received news that my maternal grandmother passed away a few hours ago. Her health had really degenerated the last few months. In a way this is the end of her misery. She was such an active lady and it must have been so tough for her to not even be able to carry a conversation over the phone ( Read more... )
