Yes! There was a day 2! Robert and Stuart left for scouts and I saddled her up and we rode in the mini-menege. 35 minutes of walk/trot and practicing the submission to bit thing. Hereafter known as STB. We got it a few times, including one nice stretch. She was a bit of a brat during mounting. She goes back and forth about that. Just swings her butt out when I step on the mounting block, or stopping just one step shy of the right spot. Stinker.
Starting to get my pack list together for the CMO weekend. Worried that Gigi and my fitness isn't up for this. But if I can ride her every day or so, maybe we won't be such wimps.
Pie irons are planned for the trip too.
I realize how blessed I am to not only have Gigi where I can just walk out and get her, quick brush and saddle up in 15 minutes. But a safe place to ride. It's not very big, but works for the simple things we're currently working on. It is a terrible waste not to take advantage of it. So I hope by "outting" my goals, I'll feel compelled to keep it up. I bought this house to have my horse with me, so I could ride her....so, 2 years later, I'm getting to it.
