Having a blast
I love it here! The Southeast be damned! I am in the middle of calling people today, cuz it's Sunday and free. Well, we just got back form more shopping at Pike Place, but we forgot the avacados. She is cooking me some potato soup tonight. We were going to watch movies, but the computer froze and now we have to wait like 3 or 4 days to get it fixed. So, chess and magazines it is. I am writing to you now from the computer cafe around the corner from our apartment. It's called Aurafice. Clever.
I heart my job so far. The boxing of the donuts is fine, but the cleaning of the skanky tray snaitizer machine blows. It's so gross, and covered in donut scoo of many flavours. Plus it sanitizes at such a high temperature that the donut crap that it washes off during the day is BOILING by the time I get to it. Joy. But hey, I am only working three days a week and making more than I did at the ballet. $10 an hour and someone is always giving up shifts. I am going to take some Thursdays and earn some extra money so I can afford to dance. Classes are expensive here. $10 is the cheepest so far. At PNB they are $13 or more. Thank god Natalie gave me her card from the summer.
On our thrid night in the apartment, we had just gotten her scaredy cats in the place and had finally sat down to eat when the building's fire alarm went off. We got to meet ALL of our neighbors, and their pets. (We live in a 5 story building).
I can't start my cross-country story until the laptop gets fixed. We can't even get it to go.
I just wanted to update quickly to let everyone know internet is down for me right now and that I am alive. Is anyone reading this shit anyway?
