The boys stayed up to watch the fireworks on tv last night. About half way through they got up and grabbed their math workbooks. Who knew math was more fun than fireworks! Even after the fireworks were over they continued working. They've done work every day this week. Yay! Today I'm hoping to get them both to work on some handwriting.

The doctor gave me a handout yesterday on bedwetting. It says to reward for dry nights. Reward what and why? I dont understand why I would reward him for something he doesnt have control over. I dont see how that is supposed to help. It also says the child should take responsibility for his bedwetting and help with laundry. He strips his bed and helps put clean sheets on if he doesnt do it on his own. Michael does the same thing when it's time to change his sheets. I think changing sheets is something they should be responsible for regardless of bedwetting. I'm also a bit concerned about how long we should wake him up at night to go before we reevaluate. Waking him up during the summer is one thing but I dont think that's an acceptable solution during school. He'll need his sleep and it should be uninterrupted. I guess we'll wait and see.

I looked at the discharge paper again and it had percentiles listed under height and weight. Matthew is in the 14th percentile for height and 30th percentile for weight. Tiny kid!

8:30am and already 80 degrees. UGH! I think today is a day for hiding out in the house with the ac turned up.
