Oh. My. God. I just watched Peter Kosminsky's film "no child of mine" (4oD) and it has hit me hard. It's about a little girl (aged 13!) who is sexually abused, by almost every man she learns to trust and is pysically abused by her mother. She goes through all sorts of hell and then the Crown Prosecution Service doesn't charge her step dad because there 'wasn't enough evidence'. All I can say is thank God for womens refuge and people who care enough to protect the vulnerable, like childline (who she calls for help).
