2008 has been one shitty mofo year for me and my family.  Sickness, death, sadness.. ugh. I'm glad the year is ending.

Mostly because of said shitty year--andnakednsf's CR-azy insane school schedule--Tom and I decided not to do Xmas this year. No decorations, no party, no making ourselves crazy buying gifts for everyone. It's our year off.

Like making the most amazing glass of iced tea ever--mint iced tea w/lemon simple syrup. I’ve tried making iced tea before and it was always a disaster. I tend to steep the tea so long you could stand a spoon up in it.  Not this time. I had a recipe. (Sad, but hey, it worked!)  This iced tea was so heavenly, I chose it over the usual vodka. Last night, my office had our annual Holiday dinner at Quince. It was easily one of the most incredible dining experiences I have ever had.
