what a week! it flewww by in the blink of an eye!
what have i been doing?

monday, tuesday and wednesday were grandpa's post-operation meetings with doctor after doctor after doctor!
monday was the bone doctor. tuesday was the bladder doctor and wednesday was heart doctor.

usually, i'm anti-heart doctors.
but this time, the heart doctor was sooooooo nice!
he's really small!
and smiley!
my grandma thought he was so cutesy, she couldn't believe he knows how to date a girl, much less marry and have 2 kids already. HAHA.

i think my family and him conspired against me though. he was so interested in my surgery scar that he offered to give me check-up on-the-spot! so he sent me to x-ray and EKG as well, but it was okay this time because i was so distracted by the male nurse who kept asking me to describe my chinese name. you know, like spell it out.
they were some tough questions.

"wang chi hsuan. which hsuan? which chi? which wang?"

i had to admit i didn't know. i was so distracted that i didn't even breathe at the right moment and my xray didn't come out right. oh well.

wednesday night and thursday night, mom & i walked to the yongho night market and i indulged and indulged. it was such heaven. i ate night market
food and drank night market drinks and bought night market clothes. No way was I paying for anything over $10 US dollars!

today my mum and i walked to the traditional grocery market and did day-shopping. Stall after stall, there was raw meat, hanging ducks, fried-tempura, jelly drinks, veggies, shoes, clothes, all the works. i'd take those markets over chain stores anyday. anyday!

my favorite time of the day is still 9pm though.
im watching this SUPER-FUNNY soap opera called "My Girl." It's so funny. SOOOO FUNNY! usually i have a soap opera schedule lined up. since i was still adapting to taiwan, i was home all last week and watched TV from morning til night. i have a show @ 12. at 330. at 7. at 9. and then at 10. it's a very demanding schedule but i've learned to let go of all of them except for this last one. i've even gotten my dad into it even though he denies it and says it's a big-kid cartoon for people like me.

the weekend is just beginning!!
last weekend i was so super excited about Taiwan Costco. My family and I go everytime we're in taiwan. Hoards of people shoving their way around-- both shopping and fighting their way to eat hotdogs and those yummmy chicken/beef burritos. they are unbelievably delicious. even more so because of the fighting one has to go through. hey, survival of the fittest right? it's not really like that everywhere though. just the food area. Taiwan costco has a cart-friendly escalator which beats the one in HH. one escalator goes up and one escalator goes down. costco is 2 floors high in taiwan. 2!

what else what else?
ahh, i love my family so much!

tomorrow we're having a BIIIG family dinner and everyone's coming!
mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, jojo, joma, my two boy cousins, my aunt, my uncle, my granduncle... it'll be a full house!
