The Rest if the Road Trip

Hmm...really quickly. The rest of South Dakota was super boring, except for the Badlands National Park. Seems completely desolate and inhospitable (not to mention HOSTILE) but things and people have been living there for millions of years. Pretty cool! We also saw the mountain carving process of Crazy Horse (not Corn Squash), which has been a work in progress since the 1950s and might not be done until...who knows? So far he only has a face.

Moving on. We ended up that night at a Super 8 in Minnesota and wow, it was nice! Like a quaint little bed and breakfast. Had a fireplace and a Christmas tree (?) and little crafts for sale. But then, BAM BAM BAM! Mosquitos everywhere! They kept hitting the windowsheild of the car and blood would splat everywhere! The ones that didn't splat just hovered. Gross. Land of 10,000 lakes and hundreds of millions of mosquitos as a result.

Minnesota to Wisconsin, where we stopped in Madison, which is a cute college town on the lake with a huge state capitol building. The university is there too. Had lunch at a terrible Nepalese place that was completely overpriced. Stupid Matt.

Finally, we were on our last leg. I decided to sleep through it, so it would go by faster. Nothing to report here, except that I ended up in Evanston in one piece for my baby!

Conclusion:
Favorite places in terms of beauty: Utah, S. Dakota, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Colorado, Wyoming, Arizona, Nevada

Are we counting CA and IL? I can't...can't judge them, too familiar

BIkers: Too loud and sometimes racist
