Author's Note: F/ck, I just heard from my homeroom teacher yesterday that our Quarter Exams are near again. Oh, man. :| But it's a good thing it's Christmas break right after the last exam. :) *sigh* I can do this. Even with a runny nose.

Chapter Six
Sho sits in class, listening to the boring lectures from the teacher. He takes notes of the important details of their lessons even if it wasn't that interesting on his notebook and afterwards, he twirls his pen on his hand. His attention from the teacher breaks for him to look at the clock, 1:17. He groans silently; he wanted time to move faster. He scratched the side of his head and he took his eyes back on to the teacher, who was talking about the history of Japan.
It's been the third day since the first day of school, since the day where he knew he and Nino were going in the same school. Speaking of the latter, Sho still hasn't figured out what he really feels for the boy. He's been rummaging through his past thoughts and current thoughts about this, trying to connect them and let himself make an idea or something out of it.
Sho tried to muster up some sort of frustration or rebellion towards Nino, he knew he should feel annoyed and confused as to why he was thinking about the guitarist in the first place but the truth is, Sho was getting exhausted by it now. He only wanted to become closer with Nino, know more about him (know everything about him, period.) and have a normal sempai-kouhai relationship.
That would be enough for Sho. Kind of.
Sho sighed. Nino had such a bad effect on him and by 'bad', he wasn't even sure if it was a good thing or a bad thing.
He looked around the room, saw Aiba and Ohno passing love notes to each other or rather--Aiba passing the love notes to Ohno while Ohno tried to bite back a grin, saw half of the class falling asleep or fooling around and when his head turned to his left, he saw the boy who liked to go around in his thoughts in times when Sho did not expect them to appear. Sho gulped. Nino's eyes were on the teacher, a pout on his lips while he held his pen in between his hands. He saw the boy look down at his textbook and up again after he wrote something on it.
Sho tore his eyes away. He mustn't stare even if he couldn't resist.
He really wanted to have a normal relationship with the boy. And then if it's possible, they could be the best friends and they could hang out whenever they want with just the two of them or with Aiba and the others and everything would fall in to place. He just wanted...another brush of contact, a normal non-stuttering conversation. That could be enough. The end.
But Sho felt himself contradicting to the thoughts of them just being the best of friends. Did he want them to be more than friends?
Sho shakes his head, holding his pen tighter. He cursed and cursed Nino and his own strange thoughts over and over in his mind. Aiba must've seen him doing what he just did and gave him a pat on the back, whispering, "Hey, you okay? Do you feel dizzy, Sho-chan?"
Sho laughed it off awkwardly, telling Aiba he was fine while his heart wasn't calm inside his chest. It kept bouncing in his chest, ringing inside his ears when he looked back at the thought of him and Nino being 'more' than just friends.
Sho begged his heart to explain itself, tell him things easier for him to understand clearly and easily no matter how it may be. He would do it. He would do what his heart, himself, truly wanted.
But it was no use. Everything seems to remain so gray and unclear right now.

As soon as the bell rang, Sho stood up first and stalked out of the room when the teacher dismissed them. He knew he was making his friends worry, he must be. Acting strange, being so thoughtful and quiet, he must have been radiation some kind of vibe that would make his friend worry. They could read him like a book too.
He could tell Aiba and Ohno everything, he thought as he walked under the warm sun, but then again, he wasn't entirely sure he wants to. He had this feeling of not wanting to tell them anything about Nino, considering the fact that both Ohno and Aiba were much more closer to the guitarist than him. He felt possessive of Nino, like he was a secret not to be uttered out, ever.
"Wait, possessive of Nino?" Sho said in his mind as it hit him. "You're going nuts, Sakurai."
He closed the door of his locker and proceeded to dash out of the school as soon as possible. When he reached the place where he wanted to be, he plopped down on the grass, his heart calming down little by little but his mind continued to swirl around different thoughts. He sighed, closing his eyes to relax himself as he grip the blades of grass beneath his fingers and pulling them out.

He fell in to a light slumber so he didn't know how long he had been lying down here. He hears a rustle coming from behind him after a gust of wind blows from his side. Then a voice. "Sho-chan,"
When he heard his name, he blinked his eyes open and saw a familiar pair of brown eyes looking down at him. At first, it made Sho go frenzy inside, thoughts attacking him like he was in a war---no, scratch that, He was in a middle of a war between his thoughts and when the boy with those brown eyes crinkled and he smiled down at Sho, every thought he had disappeared.
"Nino," Sho greets as he sits up with his eyes followed the guitarist who sat beside him.
"I know the weather's nice out today, Sho-chan," Nino says, looking up at the sky. Sho liked how his eyes shined because of the sun. Nino's mouth started to form a smirk and he craned his neck to the side to look at Sho. "But you didn't have to suddenly run out of the classroom and leave your friends behind just to witness it."
Sho flushed. "That is not the reason why I'm here!"
Nino raised a playful eyebrow at it. "Yeah, okay, you just need your afternoon nap, I get it."
Sho pouts, rolling his eyes that earned a laugh from the latter. "Shut up," he says, before lying back down. He looked up at the clear blue sky which Nino mimicked; the boy lied down as well.
"How'd you even find me here?"
"Aiba and Ohno didn't know where you were so I told them where you ran to but they didn't come here because they had to do something else so I was the one who went here and now here I am beside you."
Sho nodded. The latter continued. "Don't worry, it's not like I was forced to be here. I volunteered myself to come right after you."
Sho's head turned towards Nino. His stomach was flipping and his heart thumped silently in his chest with pure bliss. Nino turned his neck as well; smiling at the boy beside him whose face was shaped into awe.
"They're worried about you."
"Who? Aiba and Satoshi?"
"Yeah, they said you started to act strange and all and you're not telling them."
"I-I see." Sho suddenly felt guilty.
"But I'm curious too," Nino continues, placing his head on his hand. Sho, listened in silence as he looked right back at Nino, taking in the tiny details he could see: his fantastic brown eyes, the several moles on his face that looked cute on him (Especially the one on his chin.) and to the strand of his hair that he could see standing on the top of his head. "I'm curious as to what's going on inside that head of yours. I want to know why you're acting strange. Care to tell me?"
Sho's insides have exploded in pure happiness but his question left Sho making him feel nervous. Silence wrapped around him as Sho thought of his answer to the boy.
"I-I can't," Sho was finally able to respond but he didn't like how it left his lips. "Because I don't know what it is. I'm still confused."
"You can tell me anything, Sho-chan," Nino says back. "I'm sure I can help you. I--"
"I'm sorry, Nino. I just can't." Sho cuts him off. "But I can tell you how much I'm going nuts about it."
Nino laughed. "You think you can tell me that when the time comes? I'm a good listener, you know."
"Of course," Sho grinned.
"And Sho-chan?"
"Yes?"
"...want to hang out? I mean, it's already dismissal and it's still early, so..."
Sho blinks repeatedly and he his expression changed into a shocked one. He hoped the boy didn't notice the sudden change. He let his wide eyes look anywhere but Nino's to find his answer and when he looked back at Nino, who was waiting for an answer from the brunette, he calmed his going-crazy heart down and gulped down the lump on his throat before he answered, his answer already obvious from the vibe or aura he was giving because Nino's lips curved up into a slanted smile.
"Sure."
