november!

i love the beginning of the month! a fresh start!

and fall. and my birthday month and thanksgiving!! it's the best month!

october was crazy. a very hectic month. so much fun. but at the same time i feel like i was so busy i missed being able to really enjoy the month. the fall. the spirit of the holiday. so that's what my goal for this month is. time to slow down a bit. enjoy my favorite things. i love fall so much. the colors. the cooler weather. hoodies and boots and scarves. books and candles and curling up under blankets and reading all day.

that's how i'm spending today. i feel a bit under the weather, so i made a wellnes tea. and then coffee :) and then blankets and books and a candle is lit. it finally got cooler in new orleans. a 30 degree temperature drop makes it feel like winter. So this 55 degrees is terrible. LOL. and probably a bit to do with why i feel under the weather.

along with spenging this month slowing down a bit i also want have some other me focused goals. i'dlike to read at least 50 pages a day. i'd really like to do a 100 but that may be too much, so at least 50. And with that goal i'd like to get through 4 books this month. 1) Let's Get Lost by Adi Alsaid, 2) Imaginary Girls by Nova Ren Suma 3) Allegiant by Veronica Roth 4) Blue Lily, Lily Maggie Stiefvater

kitchen! i would really like to be in the kitchen more this month, whether just actually making dinner-something simple, or baking which i love to do, although am not very good at. i love oollecting recipes but i never get a chance to plan to make anything, so that's a goal this month as well.

and lastly, as always, workouts. i started taking dance classes last month and i love it. it's the first time i've ever really made workouts a priority because i LOVE the classes so much. i find myself looking forward to them. i always go tuesday and saturdays but i'd like to make a point to try a few more of the classes - see if i love the salsa class as much as i LOVE the hip hop class. and then i also want to start going to running club more. every wednesday the bar near my work hosts running club and the run a 3 mile route - usually down bourbon street - and it's fun. it also challenges me to run harder and faster than i do on my normal workouts. plus this month i signed up for 2 5K's- one next saturday and then the turkey trot on thansgiving day with my sis and nephew. pretty excited! and it keeps me motivated to keep my runs a priority.
