Well, we've had New Dog - Yaeger, Bugsy Malone, Bingley, Bosco, and finally Buster - for about a week now and things have evened out a bit. He's aggressive when it comes to treats, but we're hoping to break him of that. Darcy keeps nipping him, but eventually he's going to have to learn to stop sticking his cold nose at her butt for attention. He and Bebo bounce around like they're both puppies when they're not getting in very loud dog fights where no one gets hurt.
Buster looks like a
Goomba, by the way.
He follows Dad around everywhere and chews on anything he can fit in his mouth and runs and runs and runs, lol.
We brought him to the vet to get his license and tick meds, only to find out he's heartworm positive. Both the rescue and the vet are sure he's going to be just fine, but it's still a scary procedure and long weeks of being crated afterwards to keep the dead heartworm from breaking off in too big chunks and causing a clot.
Other than that, we found out he is definitely not two years old. The vet says he's barely a year, which explains 90% of his behavior.
So, uh, this has been your New Dog Update?
