A/N:

* This is a Let's Play Pretend oneshot/drabble--I don't know what to call it!,
but you don't have to read LPP to make sense of this story.

* Fic setting is present LPP!Yunjae,

weeks after Epilogue 2. :p

* It’s longer than my previous drabble

which was only around 600 words, so I guess

this could pass as a oneshot already?

Mission: Defeat the Fanboy

Yunho was spoiled by Jaejoong from the very beginning. He lavished him with love and attention, and having been used to it now, it didn’t sit on Yunho very well everytime they had a guest over that hogged all Jaejoong’s attention from him.

Most especially if that person was a big Jaejoong fanboy.  He’d always disliked Seunghyun ever since he noticed his not-so-secret crush on Jaejoong, displaying it like a prized trophy. It was a long time ago but Yunho could tell, there was still something there.

Who could blame the guy though? No one could resist his Jaejoong, and that thought alone always made him so... protective.

Yunho glared at the television, trying not to snort out loud when he heard Jaejoong laugh at whatever that intruder said. While he brooded over it alone on the couch, Jaejoong and Seunghyun were both seated cross-legged on the floor surrounded by a bunch of crumpled music sheets working on another music arrangement.

“Jaejoongie hyung, you should listen to this.” Seunghyun hooked an earphone into Jaejoong’s ear.

Yunho’s nose flared. Did he just call him, Jaejoongie? JAEJOONGIE?!

“This is a good one. Maybe we could--”

Yunho cleared his throat making them look at him expectantly. He grinned now that he had Jaejoong’s attention.

“Jaejoongie,” he stressed so the other guy would notice how Jaejoong’s name sounded different and more special coming from him. As he wanted that bit of attention on him for a while, off the top off his head he asked, “Do you know where my... blue trackpants is?”

Jaejoong’s brows furrowed. “That one you’re wearing?”

Damn it Yunho. “Um, right. I meant... the red one?”

“Oh,” Jaejoong nodded. “I think it’s still in the dryer. Do you want me to get it for you?”

“Uh...” Yunho sighed. What was he doing? of course Jaejoong would get it for him if he asked. Jaejoong would always do anything for him just like he would do the same for him.

“No baby, it’s fine.” A sense of guilt washed over him seeing Jaejoong working hard, but here he was, disturbing the pair because of a childish jealousy. So as a mature adult that he believed he was, Yunho urged to keep himself in check and promised to make it through the afternoon without wanting to strangle the life out of Seung-- he quickly stopped his thoughts from going there, spewing words of I’m a mature adult, and an understanding partner to himself like a repetitive mantra.

Only 15 minutes passed, and it still didn’t go as planned. He’d nearly broken a nerve when Jaejoong offered to make Seunghyunnie coffee.

Seung...hyunnie? SEUNGHYUNNIE?!

Yunho stuffed his mouth with cupcakes and brownies that Jaejoong baked earlier, coughing violently as he nearly choked himself with it.

“Shovel the plate down your throat as well, why don’t you?” Jaejoong went to his side, quickly patting his back in concern. “Are you okay?”

“Y-Yeah,” Yunho puffed. “Just... wrong pipe.”

Jaejoong smiled poking his belly. “I know I bake amazing cupcakes but maybe you should slow down a bit. Just two cupcakes. You can’t die on me yet.”

Yunho grinned, pulling Jaejoong into a kiss completely forgetting they had company. Seunghyun fidgeted awkwardly on the floor until Jaejoong broke for air.

“Oh!” Jaejoong exclaimed, sending an apologetic glance over his guest before turning back to Yunho. “I’m making Seunghyunnie coffee. You want some?”

Pop.

He swore he just heard the sound of another vein popping.

SEUNGHYUNNIE?! ...YUNNIE?!

Unacceptable.

He had to overthrow the fanboy for he sure as hell wasn’t letting Jaejoong call some other guy Yunnie. Okay, maybe the resemblance was a little... inaccurate and completely irrelevant, but still, he was jealous so it was a big deal to him.

Po-ta-to, to-ma-to, pot and kettle... it’s the same. Leave me alone! Yunho berated his inner conscience, immediately flashing a big not-suspicious-okay-maybe-a-little bright smile at Jaejoong.

“How about you guys go back to work, hmm? I’ll make him coffee.”

He kissed Jaejoong’s forehead, quickly running to the kitchen missing the surprised looks from the other two in the room.

“Here ya go!” Yunho beamed. He carefully placed the mug on the coffee table then used his forefinger to nudge the small sugar dispenser towards Seunghyun. “I haven’t put any sugar in it yet.”

Seunghyun nodded.  “Thanks, Yunho.”

“No... problem-o.” Yunho went to seat back on the couch, his ears intently listening in on the two’s conversation.

5... 4... 3... 2...

At that exact moment, a cross between a gag and a cough had Jaejoong squeaking in worry over his friend. Yunho tried to make his form as little as possible on the couch, holding the urge to burrow his head on the pillow to laugh his ass off.

“Seunghyun, what’s wrong?” Jaejoong asked in concern.

“It’s... I-uh, think...” Seunghyun coughed pointing at the sugar holder, unable to speak properly.

Jaejoong peered at it closely, eyes widening when he realized what went wrong. “Yunho! you gave him salt!”

Yunho gasped dramatically, a hand over his mouth. “Oh... my... really? I swear I didn’t realize. I thought it was sugar. Are you okay, man? I’m so sorry--”

“I’m o-okay.”

“I could make you another--” Yunho offered, but Seunghyun shook his head frantically at him, looking quite traumatized.

“No please, but thank you.”

“I’m sorry,” Jaejoong apologized one more time. “Yunho’s basically an idiot in the kitchen. Let me grab you some water.”

Yunho followed Jaejoong to the kitchen. “Isn’t it funny how I always confuse salt with sugar all the time--”

Jaejoong stopped walking. He turned to Yunho with a glare, and when he was sure they were out of earshot, he elbowed him on the gut.

“OW!”

“I know what you’re up to, Yunho-yah.”

Jaejoong went on lecturing his ears off, not giving a chance to sweet talk his way out of it. Then the unthinkable happened, Yunho found himself grumbling stubbornly as he was sent to their room like a disobedient child that he was. He scoffed, grabbing the extra plate of cupcakes along the way. So much for a mature and understanding partner.

When he was done reflecting on his behavior like what Jaejoong suggested him to do, he went back out to greet Jaejoong, schooling his face into his best sorry expression.

But all that changed into that of a roaring, jealous tiger when he caught Jaejoong happily hugging Seunghyun.

“YAH!” he shrieked, quickly getting in between the two. “Why are you hugging? no hugging!”

Jaejoong stepped aside, raising his eyebrows at Yunho.

“Um, it's not--” Seunghyun backed away, trying to clear the air.

“Tsss-shush!” Yunho quieted him with a finger to his forehead. “I’m not talking to you, you midget.”

Jaejoong crossed his arms with a frown, successfully stopping Yunho from saying anything more. His lower lip jutted out, a clear defeated look on his face seeing how Jaejoong was staring at him with disapproval.

“Jaejoong-ah..” Yunho whispered like a kicked puppy.

“Baby, I was just congratulating my good friend here.” Jaejoong explained. “He’s getting engaged.”

It took Yunho a moment to process the information before a splitting grin crossed his face. “Oh... OH! why didn’t you tell me sooner?” he clapped Seunghyun on the back. “I am sooo happy for you man. Come on let me give you a big hug!”

Seunghyun croaked a silent 'help' when Yunho pulled him in. “Um, Jaejoong--” he stared pleadingly at Jaejoong but the guy only shrugged at him.

“Congratulations!” Yunho cheered once again.

“Y-Yeah. Thank you, Yunho.” Seunghyun separated from the rather tight embrace, eyes widening in confusion. “Uh... gee, I’m late for my meeting with Yoochun. Bye guys! see you at the studio Jaejoongie hyung!”

After a quick goodbye to the couple, Seunghyun took off because he couldn’t wait to get away from Jaejoong’s loony husband-to-be as fast as he could.

When they were finally alone, Yunho winced as soon as Jaejoong shifted his attention back to him. The pale beauty had his hands on his hips looking ready to scold the hell out of him. In a flash, he immediately took a step back with a sheepish smile.

“Err.. sorry?”

Jaejoong’s resolve crumbled as expected. “Baby,” he sighed, sweetly patting Yunho’s cheek. “How many cupcakes did you have?”

Yunho looked like a deer caught in headlights. “I don’t know... 6 and a half?” He stared at the floor as he swiftly explained, “I spat out the other half when I choked on it.”

“I said only two.” Jaejoong clucked his tongue. “Your doctor specifically said to cut down your sugar intake.”

“Mhm, well...” Yunho grinned, wrapping his arms around Jaejoong’s waist. “I could always sweat it all out of me.”

“Oh really?”

“Yes, really... and I know just the perfect workout for it.”

Jaejoong’s laughter echoed in the apartment as Yunho threw him over his shoulder, marching them towards their bedroom. Because when Yunho was high on sugar, whatever he wanted, he’d get it.

A/N:

I hope you liked this one because I reaaaaly enjoyed writing it! haha ^^,

It's much easier to make drabbles/onsehot since I don't have to

obsess over the plot twist and all that, so expect more short stories to come and

maybe, a new chaptered fic from me too.

Thanks again for reading!
