Molly made me title it that. She said she felt like a beached whale and I attempted to paraphrase princess diaries (I believe the actual line is about a moose).
Anywho, went to work, typed up some cleaning lists/room expectations on my phone, while walking around the rooms. Threw a bunch of things in the lost privileges bin; things that were left out or put away incorrectly. Got out my label maker and labeled the cabinets and closets and such as adult use only. Lable done particular art cabinet as “additional supervision required.” It’s the shelf with all the glue guns, fancy tools, and permanent paints. I’ve had to stop Brandon from using acrylic paints twice now.
I need to type up a bunch of the basic staff rules and such for the monday staff meeting since it’ll be the first time I’ll have had two group leaders with every group. I’m wondering if I should also ask all the staff in that meeting about the status of their qualifying letters. I’ll need to assign all the new staff recognizing and responding to complete. Yikes this is starting to turn into a list gonna pull back, and finish writing about the day. If I still feel the need to get Kitty afterwards I’ll open another page.
Talked with Justin a bit about his job duties and such, and then snuck out with Molly to run some errands. Regent park closes early for Halloween after doing a trick or treat in the classroom thing and then sending all the kids home. Molly brought my staff mini doughnuts left over from their thing.
Molly and I went to an tech to get my vaccination gift card ($150 if school store stuff). Then worked real hard trying to spend it. I got some new spatulas, Molly bought some fancy pens. I picked up a fancy coloring book for work. Still ended up with $15 left.
Then we dropped off a couple of the duplicate diaper bags (we got 4) at the ups store, though they did force us to pay for packaging to send them back in.
On the way back to work we picked up fast food, which I snuck inside the J and ate in my office upon my return.
Helped a couple groups with prize box day, explained to Justin’s kids why they want to help him plan the curriculum calendar, which they actually got really into.
Came home, made pizza, played the new Mario party game (I’m worried it won’t be as good as the last one), then did homework while Molly watched the little vampire.
