I didn't mind the lack of Sam-Dean interaction so much. We've got a whole rest of the series for that and I liked their individual subplots too much to want to change either of them.

I TOTALLY CALLED THE DEMONNESS OF MYSTERY WOMAN! *boogies*

Sam drove! Dean was obviously too busy entertaining Ben (who was squashed between them on the front seat, so cute!)

anyone else chanting, "don't do it, Sera," when Ben was hovering at the window, just ready to save the boys after they'd totally got their asses kicked by the mother?

I was more "for God's sake, don't let Mystery Woman leap in and save the day." And then nothing of the sort happened so it's all good!

That is true, on both accounts. I guess I just wish we had that last week, then I would have been more content with the lack of Winchester action (heh).

Really?! Man, I didn't see it coming. I'm just relieved she's no longer a Buffy reject, and her powers actually come from a supernatural force as opposed to herself!

Totally adorable. A small, selfish part of me (that wants to ignore the impracticalities of it) wishes Ben has turned out to be Dean's son. It was more poignant and meaningful that he wasn't, but still *whimpers*

Man, that would have been annoying. I disliked that part in the first ep, though it makes sense now why she was able to take three demons and Sam wasn't. Oooooh also explains the "you!"

*snickers* well in that case, Kripke can hold off the brother moments for another few episodes and then have an entire episode of holding to compensate. Complete with manly tears (only one, mind you, from Dean's left eye).

I've seen that said elsewhere actually - that she was acting Meg-like. Wonder if it is Meg, trying to screw them over with a whole new shiny plan *ponders* or maybe all female demons are just bitchy? It's an innate trait. I wonder why they haven't said her name yet (even though I know it) *starts singing "It's a mystery"* the more they hold off, the greater the variety of names the fandom will come up with - and you can count a lot of them to be less than flattering.

OMG YES, LIKE TOTALLY! I'm coming to live in your world of denial, it sounds nice. Seh felt obligated to say no, yes. That last look at him when he left, that was a look of regret for lying!

Shame I didn't get the gooey, I'll probably get it on rewatch when I'm not flailing. Dean needs to have a child, yes he does.

(Sorry, I've been hanging around dean_sam too much, the Wincesters are getting to me!) Aww, but Sam will get his little face all screwed up with tears running down his cheeks and give Dean that "You're my big brother, make it all better!" look like he did in Heart. It'll be like the brotherly moment to end all brotherly moments. And then towards the end they'll get all embarrassed that they were so girly and will be extra manly and annoying to each other to make up for it. THIS IS THE BEST EPISODE IDEA EVER. (How have the episodes so far this season fitted in with the ones we had planned, by the way ( ... )

SEE! I knew I wasn't on top of things, the episode plan! I actually have that typed up somewhere (not all the gaps are filled in), though I think that it's safe to say probably none *g* man I wish they could do that, it would be beautiful *wipes away tear*

I want there to be a proper demon family meeting this season. Just for you. Maybe now that Daddy's dead, Meg's just found a new way of getting at the Winchesters - tell Sam to trust her, have him comply with all her requests year long, only to let him down at the last hurdle, tell him all his effort was for nothing. She can't save Dean. How much of a punch would that be? It'd be delicious, for her.

(It really did) He does need a hoarde of children, but that won't happen while he's hunting. Not unless he marries another hunter, but even then, I don't see Dean raising his children in that life.

You'll have to say if we do correctly predict anything. All I can remember is the Spork Of Doom. (and let's face it, that's not likely to happen)

Yeah! Meg's got calmed down a little bit and realised that vengeance is much sweeter if there's a long build up and if you can really dash someone's hopes. Mmmmm, dashed hopes. That should be the name of a drink...

Zomg! There's going to be a really anime kind of moment when Dean does a ritual that... I don't know gives super powers to anyone with Winchester blood and half the kids in America under the age of 10 will become super-powered and Sam will be like "Have you even heard of a condom?" and Dean will be terribly offended because he always uses them, because he's terribly thoughtful like that. But then it'll turn out that condoms are pointless because Winchester sperms know kung-fu.
