Empire of Ivory

This is the fourth book in the Temeraire series, and it was very good. Ended kind of sadly, though, but the overall writing and plot was sound and involving. Even if it was (apparently) eerily similar to an older book...

The Temeraire series is about a sailor who accidentally becomes in charge of a rare dragon that the British managed to capture in the middle of the napoleonic wars. In the war, the dragon riders fight in the air, the navy in the sea, and the army on land, much like a normal war (plus dragons).

But the storylines are engaging and often really cute, making you laugh and smile, even in such serious settings.

It is definitely a pleasant series to read, and the plot is sound and not completely illogical. There's also a lot of action throughout the book, so you're not bored to death by description.
