Summertime and the livins easy
Good afternoon everyone! I'm just sitting at work with nothing to do really, it's been kind of a slow afternoon, so figured I'd write in my handy dandy journal :)
I am off this Friday because I have a dentist appointment to get all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled, ugh I am NOT looking foward to that at all. They are going to totally put me under, in what they call a 'twighlight sleep' because they say that even though when your 'asleep' you can respond to what they are saying, that you don't remember anything when you wake up. That in itself is going to be weird because I've never been put to sleep. I just hope they give me some good pain pills so I'm not really hurting. Hell, I might lose a few pounds because I'm not going to be able to eat hardley anything :) So Ashley is taking off Friday because he has to drive me home so at least he will be there to take care of me. He is so sweet when I'm sick or not able to do stuff, he always takes care of me and gets me whatever I want. Even when it's my 'girl time' of the month he always gets me medicane and a heating pad, aww he's so sweet!
And I am SOOOO excited about going up to Georgia! We are planning on going the weekend of June 16 which is in 3 weeks. I haven't seen everybody in what seems like FOREVER so I am really excited! I guess nobody knows how to come and visit us..I swear it's starting to piss me off. I know that gas is expensive and that it takes a little bit of money to take a weekend trip but we have lived here OVER A YEAR, and lets see..his mom has came once, his dad has came once, my dad and stepmom have came once (and they are coming in July), my mom hasn't came at all, Heather has came once, and that's it. Oh well. It's not that damn hard to PLAN a trip that's only 4 1/2 hours away. It's not like it's across the country.
And I found out that for my first speech (which is due this week) I do not have to do it in front of an audience yay! I got so excited haha..I hate doing speeches in front of people..it makes me feel SO freaking stupid. But maybe I can learn a lot of stuff about public speaking in this class.
Also I am going to start dabbling in the marketing aspect of the company I work for in the next few weeks. We downloaded a list from the Florida Manufacturers Index (this list was like $200) with all of the Manufacturers in Orlando (which are like 'potential customers') and they are going to get me to start calling people and doing other marketing stuff. And since that is what I am going to school for (not to mention that our marketing manager is in his 60s so he won't be here entirely too much longer) then there is definitely room for advancement if I do good! Plus I am learning a LOT and handling a lot of the HR stuff so the future looks bright with this company :)
