smell the fresh cut grass

I had full intentions of bitching about my recent debit/ credit card problems (you know the whole hacker thing that just so happened to get into my account...), but I have opted against that plan of attack. My day has been too incredibly nice for such talk.

Let's begin shall we... I was pleasantly woken up by my good friend who is on vacation in Portland to tell me she wants to live with me next summer! Totally stoked. Then, I fit a nice run into my morning, ate a half a pound of Skittles (literally half of a 1 lb. bag), and ran some misc. errands. Now, on to my most exciting part of the morning... talking to Mr. Taylor. Yah, it's true, he is alive and well.

My afternoon was filled with an iced mocha from Doma, an amazing tuna sandwich from Sanfran. Sourdough, and a two hour walk downtown with a great friend. The Ironman will grace this small town with its presence in just a few days and I am so freakin excited! All of the athletes have arrived and are strutting their AMAZING bodies through the streets, in the water and on bikes.

After getting ready for the night, Nichole and I walked back to downtown where we met a friend for another round of coffee. The summer concert series was taking place in a quaint little grassy area, so we decided to stop in and listen to the blues band performing.

Isn't summer grand?
