Bill had just about given up on Goombella, since she would NOT shut up about her boyfriend. He'd dated girls with boyfriends before, but he didn't like making a habit out of it. As smitten as he was with her, her nagging had stressed him out by the end of the day, so he took some time to hang by the pool, watch the sunset, and read a little of the Lylat Tribune. Oh, his beloved Goombella, perhaps giving her an hour's worth of space was all she needed to properly warm up to him, he thought to himself.
Outstretched on a pool chair and unaware of his surroundings, he barely noticed a tiny dog-like pokemon in the distance... eyeing him... heading in his direction...
