It wasn't like Jake hadn't gone on dates with Rachel before, far from it. But this was still Valentines Day. And on this day he felt extra pressured to make a good impression and be a good boyfriend. He bought a present safely tucked into his pocket, he had flowers under his arm, and he was wearing some nice pants and a good shirt. He still had his headphones on.
