Kirby was at the cafeteria for lunch. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary, until you notice that he wasn't eating his food. All the food he had gotten while he was at the counter was still left untouched on his tray. It had been like this ever since he realized what feelings were his feelings towards a certain Ivysaur a few days after Christmas, he had been trying to avoid running into Bulba as much as he could. He understood why he was avoiding, though. Bulba had said his feelings to him and it was now his turn to reply back. But with how he didn't realize the other's true feelings right then made things a lot more complicated and awkward than it should be.
How to go about this... Kirby thought as he played around with the carrots lying in one of the plates with a fork. He knew very well he needed to tell Bulba his feelings; it wouldn't be fair otherwise. But taking the step away from friendship was very foreign and scary, even for this Popstar hero. In a way, kicking bad guy's butts were a whole lot easier than confessing to your best friend that you liked him more than just a friend. It wasn't even that scary! It wasn't like Kirby didn't know Bulba's feelings! This wasn't a topic that would be solved by going "I like you too! :D" and go back to everyday life. It wasn't as lighthearted as that.
Bulba had probably thought about this longer than he had. Since when he had liked Kirby more than a friend?
Kirby shook his head and decided to eat his lunch. Sitting around and thinking about it on an empty stomach wouldn't do anything.
