Zelda knew this was not her job (the school had handymen and groundskeepers after all), but there was only so long she could stand those words on campus. It made her sick, and the sooner the red was scrubbed away, the better she'd feel.

That was not to say, however, that it would be an improvement in her mood. But the red paint needed to go, and fast. So once all the students had been taken down, the rope cleared away, she returned to the statue with a bucket of soap and warm water.

She rolled up her sleeves and started scrubbing.

She was joined shortly by one of these Pokemon that everyone's been talking about. He looked... upset.

"Need help?"

Zelda looked up and offered a weak smile. "That's very kind of you." She said, moving the bucket so he could better reach him and indicating an extra sponge. "It's only paint, but..."

"I understand." Mewtwo picked up a sponge and began to scrub away at the hateful messages.

"I can't believe this..."

"Neither can I." For Zelda, the mandatory assembly she'd scheduled couldn't possibly come fast enough. "Best to get rid of it as quickly as possible."

Mewtwo nodded, continuing the task at hand. He glanced at Zelda out of the corner of his eye as he did so.

"I'll be there. At the assembly. I just... it's never been like this."

"I appreciate that, Mewtwo." She said, her smile becoming a bit less strained and her scrubbing remaining very furious. "This whole debacle...well, I'm more disappointed than anything."

At this point Maxwell came trotting over to the scene, huffing to catch his breath. "There isn't any other graffiti around," he informed Zelda, giving Mewtwo a welcoming nod.

"Good to hear." There were extra sponges sitting by the bucket, but she wasn't going to force Maxwell to do anything he didn't want to. "This should be gone soon enough."

"I had hopes for this school," Ganondorf replied, sitting on top of the statue. "But it seems nothing ever changes from one place to another."

The last time Mewtwo had seen Ganondorf had been for the "sex talk", so that was a memory he preferred not to be reminded of. How the hell did he get on top of that statue, anyways. "WHAT?!" he screamed, cupping his hand to his ear

He chose not to respond, but looked up at the other man as he continued to scrub.

Zelda tried not to look visibly perturbed at Ganondorf's arrival, but combined with the stresses of the day she imagined she was largely unsuccessful in that endeavor.

"You could help us with the paint." She offered, gesturing to one of the spare sponges.

Indeed, a sponge did rise from the bucket and start scrubbing by itself as Ganondorf pondered some more.

Maxwell had indeed taken up one of the extra sponges. The thought of leaving while the paint was still there was the farthest one from his mind. And so he scrubbed, frowning slightly at Ganondorf's words.

The idea of compassion eluded Cyrus. He knew that display was wrong, but he was going to fix everything in the end, wasn't he? That would be enough, and to act on every occasion would be unnecessary, a distraction from his work.

But as he passed by again and saw Zelda at work, he approached. "Gyarados," he addressed as he produced its ball from his vest, "Concentrated Hydro Pump on the words."

The sea dragon let loose a powerful jet of water, acting as a jet cannon.

Well, that was certainly a surprise. She jumped back to avoid the unexpected jet of water that did a great deal more than her humble bucket and sponge had been able to. The blast trickled down the base of the statue, and the princess watched the red letters start to wash away with it.

"Thank you." She breathed, turning to the unexpected visitor and his...giant sea serpent. "Both of you."
