The school was...something special, if not a little too whacked out for his tastes. The real perk though, aside from the free housing and genuinely friendly people he's met, was the chance to explore a new world with no real strings attached. As loyal as he was to the Star Fox team, he could only stand so long being cooped up for so long in the mother ship with Fox, Slippy, and Peppy waiting for the next milk run until that familiar itch to get out and go at it alone took its toll. They're one of the few people he'd consider friends, but Fox won't always be there with open arms; it was only be a matter of time before they got sick of his freebird tendencies and kicked him out.. He'd done his part in the Lylat Wars. It won't be worth keeping around someone unreliable, no matter how good of a pilot he may be.
Falco wasn't exactly given a lot of choices for a good bar in town he hadn't already gone to, save for what Leon -of all the people- offered him. He really didn't want to go along with anything the dumb lizard said, even if it was just to humor him. However, there was a creeping, begrudging acceptance that maybe the old geezer finally turned over a new leaf after all. It was a tough idea to swallow, but Falco would like nothing more than to put all of that behind him.
In the end, curiosity got the better of him, and there he was at aforementioned bar, making himself comfortable on one of the bar stools. Falco tended to switch over to his less feathery figure on outings like these. It helped him blend in, and frankly, he was sick of all the 'birdman' comments and glances. In this foreign galaxy, Falco hated sticking out like a sore thumb.
