Warnings: There will probably be fighting. Yes. And Kamek wearing something other than his flimsy wizard attire, oh my.
He could have blamed the years he wound up in the royal nannying business, constantly ordered around and tending to the Koopaling's every whims for his somewhat compliant ways in his later years. He didn't want to wear human clothing. Nor did he feel like challenging his girlfriend to a spar. Normally, it would be left at that and Kamek would continue on being miserable and making life miserable for others, end of story. Yet here he was, wearing some kind of tacky human suit and standing in the school stadium, challenging his girlfriend to a spar. For all his earthly wisdom, the irony still managed to puzzle him.
But perhaps he wouldn't have complied if there weren't some upsides to his situation. Naval wanted him to wear the attire during the spar, for whatever genius reason, and so he had. This also mean he was going to ruin it as much as possible in the process just to spite the chameleon and his presumably careless spending habits. At least, that was the plan. He was feeling particularly vindictive today.
So there he waited, in his very human-or whatever came close to it-form (because human clothing on his regular one was where he drew the line). If Naval took too long to arrive, he would perhaps just up and leave and do something less strenuous. To be honest, he was hardly ever energetic when he wasn't being fueled by brim-filled rage.
