Cyrus arrived as quickly as he was able to get there, coming out onto the field under the stadium lights and remembering the last time he had been there. It had been graduation...

But there was no time to think of such things. Silently he took his place on the end of the field across from Silver.

AND ONLY ONE WILL SURVIVE

"Hmph. It took you long enough to show up." Silver taunted before reaching for the pokeballs at his belt. He would let Cyrus go first this time around, since his latest theory as to why he loses so much would be that by going first he was giving his opponent the advantage. Nope, nothing about how he was an arrogant impulsive jerk.

I WONDER WHO IT WILL BE (although only rhetorically)

"I arrived as swiftly as was possible. Your impatience will cost you." Cyrus was calm as he pulled a pokéball from his jacket and released Honchkrow. The bird fluffed itself up and let out a croaking cry before glaring at Silver in an imitation of its master.
