Silver couldn't help but respond to Cyrus's request to train. He knew that it had been quite some time since he had battled an actual trainer and the prospect of beating Cyrus and his pokemon into the ground was exciting. As always he never took the time to consider the possibility of losing to him as in his mind there was no way he could.
The incentive of training was enough to grab the rest of his team before heading to the stadium. After all, in his absence of using all of his pokemon regularly was considered them to be slacking off. This concept was completely unacceptable to a trainer who always wanted his pokemon to be in perfect fighting form for whatever use he desired. It was due to this drive that he arrived long before Cyrus had, taking advantage of this time to prepare his pokemon for the battle. His mode of preparation being intense sparring and abuse of course.
