[Open] FIREFLIES AGAIN?

What: A firefly festival.
When: Futuredated August 3-6
It was that time of year - the nights were getting a little shorter, but still stayed warm, and each evening thousands of tiny green dots hovered around the city. This was the week that there were supposed to be the most fireflies around, and to celebrate that, the city was holding its annual festival in their honour.
Nobody knew who started the tradition, but many suspect that it was a family of humanized fireflies wanting to stroke their own ego. Still, who can argue with an excuse to go out and enjoy oneself?
The park was lined with stands, mostly selling deep fried foods of questionable origin, but there were others selling cheap plastic toys and balloons that would break an hour after getting home, featuring famous cartoon characters or popular animals and Pokemon. There were even a few carnival-type games, with stuffed animals or even live fish or turtles given as prizes. The place was packed with people, some wearing casual clothes, but many opting to wear asian-styled robes and high sandals because there was no other excuse to ever wear them. There was also a stage at one end of the park with traditional-styled drummers and dancing.
At night, the park was lit up by coloured paper lanterns and, of course, the green glow of the fireflies themselves.
